2,100 Girl Scouts Save the Bay on Red and White Fleet
San Francisco – September 12, 2007 - San Francisco’s historic Red and White Fleet® and the Girl Scouts of San Francisco are proud to announce the “Amazing Bay Day” on San Francisco Bay, Saturday, September 29th 2007. So come out on beautiful San Francisco Bay for a two hour sail full of fun and exciting environmental education.
“Girl Scouts Save the Bay” gives young girls the chance to learn about their environment and realize the importance of preserving it. In fact, “Discover, Connect, Take Action” is the Girl Scout motto. Through hands-on projects and field trips around the Bay Area, Girl Scouts learn the difference each person can make to save the environment and connect with what they feel is important.
Similarly, the Red and White Fleet is committed to supporting environmental sustainability, community education, and protecting San Francisco’s unique marine environment and preserving our beautiful natural surroundings. Our business practices support the protection of marine life, and conservation of our natural resources and shoreline.
